This tea is made from a first flush spring 2021 harvest from wild tea trees growing in the Gao Ma village area in Hunan province.
Using an ancestral traditional method, the tea is processed in small batches and finished with a light smoke using pine wood.
It has an exquisite addictive taste of wood fire, with hints of japanese dashi broth, seaweed, kombu and bonito flakes. An excellent tea for special occasions.
It can be aged further but it is already a delight to enjoy now.
